The Chemical Logistics Specialist training equips you with comprehensive knowledge to excel as a professional in chemical logistics. Through clear, structured modules, you’ll build expertise with each successfully completed module, setting you apart from colleagues in the industry who lack this specialized, modular knowledge. This program meets the IFCL 5051 standard for roles and training currently being developed in chemical logistics.
 
The training covers essential knowledge areas required to earn the Chemical Logistics Specialist Diploma and proudly call yourself a Chemical Logistics Specialist. Upon completing each module, you automatically receive a certificate for that module, which you can add to your CV—even before finishing the entire program.

Program Validity

The Chemical Logistics Specialist certification is valid indefinitely as long as you maintain your knowledge. To retain your registration with the International Foundation for Chemical Logistics (IFCL), which can be verified upon request, an annual fee of €95 is required. The first year’s fee is included in the exam contribution paid by your training provider. You will automatically receive an invoice for the annual fee.
 
Every three years, you must complete two refresher courses through an accredited training provider and submit proof to contact@chemicallogistics.org (mailto:contact@chemicallogistics.org) to maintain your registration.
 

Examination and Location

Once you’ve completed all modules and obtained their certificates, including the ADR Safety Advisor Diploma, you can register for the Chemical Logistics Specialist exam with the IFCL. To apply, send an email to contact@chemicallogistics.org (mailto:contact@chemicallogistics.org) (in English) and attach all module certificates and your ADR Safety Advisor Diploma. A date for the exam will then be scheduled.
 
The exam is conducted online and consists of 30 multiple-choice questions in English. The questions cover content from the modules, so reviewing the material beforehand is recommended. A passing score is 70%. If you do not pass, you may retake the exam. Upon passing, you will receive the Chemical Logistics Specialist Diploma within two weeks.
